in recent studies, over 85% of students polled and nearly 50% of school staff said that they have been victims of sexual harassment at school or work. The judicial system has recognized this issue responded with strict guidelines on how sexual harassment is to be handled. Failure to follow these rules can be costly and harmful to those involved. In three courses, participants will learn legally-sound and practical tools for handling sexual harassment situations.

HARASSMENT AWARENESS
How do we identify and define sexual harassment? How can you recognize avoidance methods that could result in automatic liability to an organization? Teachers, staff, administrators and risk managers will learn the importance of early detection and response responsibility in this educational and insightful program.

INTERVENTION & COMPLAINT MANAGEMENT
How do you receive and respond to sexual harassment complaints? What is the legal procedure for processing a complaint? School administrators, classified managers, deans, security personnel, Title IX officers, student assistance coordinators and school counselors need to know the answers to these questions in order to establish a practical system for their schools and places of work.

INVESTIGATION AT A SITE & DISTRICT LEVEL
This program is available at both a basic and advanced level to address the vulnerability school districts face by being unprepared for sexual harassment allegations and investigations. Lack of training can lead to actions that are not legal, which leaves the district and administrators liable and puts the students at risk. This program is beneficial to Title IX officers, investigators, human resources managers, EEO officers, school principals - anyone who conducts site-level inquires or district-level formal investigations of sexual harassment complaints by students and/or employees.
